Wildlife Viewing

Captain Steve's love of the outdoors is readily apparent on his wildlife viewing trips. He can get birding enthusiasts and nature lovers into coastal areas that are totally unreachable on foot or by boat. Birds and wildlife are abundant in the shallows and salt marshes of the inland coast. Scenic adventures leave early in the morning so you can enjoy the stunning sunrise over the water and the daily morning search for food. The visible wildlife is not limited to the skies. The crystal clear water lets you view the grasses, plant, and marine life that lives under the water as well. If you are lucky you will even see dolphins frolicking close by. Don't forget your camera and your binoculars!

For folks who may have trouble paddling, we have a tandem kayak so you can let someone else do the paddling.  Another alternative is a boat trip on the Ranger Banshee Extreme.

For Your Safety
Kayaking and being outside is an exhilarating experience, but we must always keep in mind that any water sport has the potential of danger. For this reason, we require that all alcoholic beverages be left at the dock.

Conservation
We have great respect for God's creation and this corner of it that we occupy. We hope to enjoy it for many years to come and leave it in good condition for our children and grandchildren. We support and encourage half-limits or catch, photo, and release, and we ALWAYS try to take away more trash than we bring.

Recommended to bring...
The sun and wind on the Gulf Coast can definitely be a large factor to your comfort. Even on the cloudiest of days it can cause severe sunburn and dehydration. The following suggestions are to help make you more comfortable during and after your trip:
  • Sunscreen!!!!!!
  • Polarized sunglasses are a must!!!
  • Something for your feet - wading boots are great and can be purchased at most sporting goods stores for around $20.00 or an old pair of sneakers will work fine.
  • Long sleeve shirt and long pants of a quick dry material
  • Hat, preferably with an all around brim and a tie strap
  • Snacks
  • Camera
  • Towels
  • Did we mention sunscreen?
